When envy or jealousy penetrate us, it illuminates the lack we feel within ourselves — the place where potential actually lies. Our envy fuels those we envy. It does not create a pathway to our own success, it expands another’s.
The way out of this trap is to no longer look outward for definitions of what we’ve convinced ourselves success is but to go inward and move through our fears of humiliation and surface our own treasures that we’ve hidden from the world.
The work is to create from our own essence, the things that are working well now and not from a place of deficit that makes the climb feel too steep and overwhelming
