1. I noticed you’re an advocate for female empowerment but I see you coach men too. How does that work then?
At the moment I have more male clients than women. The way I look at it is, when I’m helping men, I’m helping women. When we become more aware of who we are as individuals, we have the ability to better articulate what it is we need with kindness and respect.
2. How many sessions do you think I need?
It depends on what material you bring for us to work on and how much you want to better understand yourself in that circumstance. If I was to put a number on it tho…I’d say, 8-12 sessions. This helps create a solid foundation for us to work out of. It also develops a collaborative collectiveness, a skill set, that you can take with you and use in every aspect of your life.
3. Do you enjoy working with couples and is difficult to manage the conflict?
I enjoy coaching couples! I get a lot satisfaction helping couples better understand themselves in their relationships. More times than not, it’s helping them tweak their way of communicating. As for the conflict, it’s often necessary and very helpful. Both need air time to help me understand the problem. The work then is to get the couple into a mindset of creating an intention that’s more powerful than the problem itself. This helps give the couple momentum and reason to move away from the conflict and towards something that they both want.
4. What’s your favourite part about coaching?
What I love the most is seeing the light turn on in a clients eyes and them looking at their problem as now being an opportunity and not a burden.
5. What’s the age group you prefer to coach?
My clients range from 23 to 90 years of age.
6. Are most of your clients local?
I coach both online and in person, which gives me the ability to coach anyone, anywhere wifi can reach. (Canada, US and UK, with the majority being in the Region of Halton)
7. Best coaching experience?
A couple came in to discuss separating and now living their best life together.
8. What do most of your clients want out of coaching?
Someone to hear their story and help them understand it on a level that offers a way forward. I believe their instincts tell them they aren’t broken. That they’re merely caught up in old structure of thinking and need someone to help them untangle themselves.
9. Are you covered by health insurance?
Most health plans do not cover Life Coaching. Check with your insurer regarding mental well-being.
10. What made you become a life coach?
I hired my own coach to help me manage a traumatic event in my life. When my perspective started to shift after only a few sessions I felt empowered… and I felt hope. I also noticed my kids started to settle down. They became more calm, more stable and more secure. Which ultimately is why I became I coach. I had to spread the good news.
