Many of us are cut off from our pain.  Shown for years that it had no place, no value, so why bother. We were taught to button-up and dim it down because those emotions/actions made others uncomfortable.  We suppressed, disconnected and shamed a part of ourselves to stay silent (unknowingly) just to keep the peace.

So are we actually pretending?  Or have we just never felt safe enough or valued enough to know what it feels like to protect our self-worth without the consequences or the fear of being judged or seen as being too needy.

We are in a time of so much uncertainty.  Any pain that we’ve disconnected from is now asking for a voice, some room to breathe — some air time.  This process needs to be done with care, patience and in a safe environment.

I’m thinking of you all as you try and find that space.

Sending light and love.
